Acceptance of these terms
Using this Website means you accept these terms. We may amend them, and the disclaimers and limits of liability in them, at any time and without notice. The version shown on this page when you use the Website is the version that applies.
Website content
The information on this Website is general and is given in good faith. We work to keep it accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is complete or suited to your circumstances.
Descriptions of services, coverage areas and time frames are indicative and can change without notice. Nothing on this Website is a binding offer to supply.
What we do, and what we do not do
We supply and install plasterboard and gyprock to walls and ceilings. That is the whole of our trade, and the limits below are part of any agreement you make with us.
We do not paint. We leave walls and ceilings sanded and ready for the painter's primer coat, and painting is arranged by you.
We do not carry out solid plastering or cement rendering.
We do not remove asbestos and we do not work with fibro. Where we suspect that a material contains asbestos, we stop work in that area. Our work restarts once a licensed asbestos removalist has dealt with it, and any delay that causes is outside our control.
We do not alter or modify framing. We sheet to the framing that is already there, and structural change is work for a carpenter.
We do not design or certify acoustic or fire rated systems, and we do not supply or install insulation or fire stopping. We install to a plastering specification that somebody else has created and certified. Where there is no such specification, the finished system carries no acoustic rating and no fire rating.
A repair is left ready to paint. The patch stays visible until it is painted.
Quotes and estimates
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote is based on what you tell us and, where we have attended, on what we saw on site. Each quote states how long it stays open.
Where the work turns out to differ from the work quoted, we contact you before going any further. Hidden damage, restricted access, and a fault that only shows once work starts are the usual reasons. A change to the agreed scope can change both the price and the finish date.
Bookings, access and site conditions
You are responsible for safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time.
Tell us before we start about any hazard, obstruction or concealed service that could affect the work. That includes hidden and underground electrical, plumbing and communications services.
Where the work involves an existing building, you confirm that you own it or have the owner's authority for the work.
If we attend and cannot work because access was unavailable or the site was unsafe, we will contact you to rebook.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or move a booking, tell us as early as you can. Materials for your job may already have been ordered by then, and an earlier call gives us the best chance of using them elsewhere.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. That includes loss of income, loss of use and loss of opportunity, whether from the work or from your use of this Website.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law and cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited at our option. We will either supply the services again or pay the cost of having them supplied again.
Intellectual property
All content on this Website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos and page layout, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not reproduce, republish or distribute any part of this Website for any other purpose without our written permission.
Privacy
Any personal information you provide through this Website is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we each submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
