Illawarra gyprockers, on the tools since 2016

The business started in 2016 with one Hilux ute and a set of tools. Years in construction came before that, working for a builder on both plastering and rendering. The owner was on the tools then, is on the tools now, and still runs the jobs and answers the phone. Repair work came later, because customers kept asking for it.

We supply and install gyprock and plasterboard, walls and ceilings, and that is the whole trade. Most of the work is new home builds, for homeowners direct and as a subcontractor to builders. Renovations and repairs follow, including rental repairs, and we take smaller commercial work such as shop fronts, small offices, apartments and units.

We do not do solid plastering and we do not do cement rendering. The owner did both for years before starting this business, and chose to build it around gyprock alone. In Australia a plasterer and a gyprocker are two different trades, and a lot of people use one word for both. If it is render you are after, we are not it, and saying so here saves you a phone call.

A job starts with your plans or a photo, and the quote is free either way. We supply every sheet, every length of cornice and all the compound, and the owner is on every job. Sheets go up on the ceiling and the wall studs, the base coat goes on straight after, and cornice is last. The walls are left sanded and ready for the painter's primer coat, because we do not paint.
