Illawarra Gyprock Experts respects your privacy. This policy explains what this website collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
We collect the information you give us directly. On the quote form that is your name, your email address, your phone number, your suburb, and the message you write about the job. You can also attach photos of the work, and those photos come to us with the enquiry. We ask for nothing we do not need in order to answer you and price the job.
Enquiry and quote forms
When you send a quote request, the details you enter are delivered to us by email. A third party form delivery service handles that delivery on our behalf. It processes your submission only to deliver it to us, and it does not use your details for its own marketing.
We use what you send to contact you, price the work, book a visit and record what was discussed. Enquiry details are not added to any marketing list.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC. It sets cookies in your browser and records how visitors find and use the site. It collects the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or search engine that sent you. It also collects your device and browser type, and the approximate region worked out from your IP address.
Three kinds of action are recorded as events. A page view every time you open a page. A click on a phone number, which records the number you tapped and the page you were on. And a quote request, which records the suburb you entered and how many photos you attached.
Nothing else from the form reaches Google. Your name, email address, phone number, message and photos are never sent to it.
We read this data in aggregate, to see which pages and services are useful to visitors. We do not use it to identify you. Analytics data is retained for 14 months, and Google then deletes it automatically.
You can stop this collection at any time. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Google also publishes a browser add on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to use this site, request a quote or call us.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, book the work and carry it out. We also use it to keep you updated on a job, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and to improve this website.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it publicly and we do not add it to marketing databases. It is not used for surveys or polls.
We share it only where the work requires it. That covers whoever attends your job, and the service providers who run this website, its analytics and its form delivery. It also covers professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires us to share it.
Some of these providers, including Google, may store or process data on servers outside Australia.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. This website is served over an encrypted connection. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. Send your request by email to info@illawarragyprockers.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period.
We may need to keep some records, such as invoices and job histories, where the law or our tax obligations require it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first so we can put it right. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may update this policy as our practices change or as the law changes. The date at the top of this page is when it was last revised.
